Did anyone who ordered a 09-iMac just before the refresh get a new one automatically?

I ask because i ordered 20 base model 3.06ghz C2D iMacs for my college through an education supplier about a month ago (can't buy direct from Apple where i live), and they still haven't shipped them yet because they are out of stock. I asked them yesterday whether we would now get the new model or the 2009 ones we originally asked for before the refresh, and they said they really are not sure. Of course if we do get the old ones i'll see if i can get them sent back.

Just interested to see if anyone who ordered the 2009 model literally days or weeks before the refresh got the new 2010 model instead because the old one was out of stock?

We had to ask for BTO ones because we wanted the wired keyboards, that's apparently the reason we didn't get ours straight away.

That's odd that a wired keyboard would designate your computer as BTO. It's just an accessory and has nothing to do with the way the computer is built. Are you sure that's the reason?

It was the reason i was given. As you say, the only thing they would have to do is put new packaging in the box and put the different keyboards/mouses in. But like i say, that was the reason i was given.

Since it's being sold through a third party, Apple labels anything that isn't standard as BTO. Plus you will most likely get a new one since they were out of stock when you ordered and third parties wouldn't get old stock since they would only be able to order the new items.

Ahh, I see. OK. Yeah in that case, I would imagine he'd get a refreshed iMac, as well. Lucky you (hopefully)!
