A few online user reports indicate that Apple's Mini-DVI to Video adapter that works fine on previous Macs w/ Mini-DVI doesn't work in the '09 mini.

As online reports can be unreliable, i.e., people w/ defective units, not knowing what they are doing, etc. I'm justing wondering if anyone here has a successfully hooked up a '09 mini to a TV with an old school RCA composite input.

According to the new specs...

...they did, it's the same with all the other Macs that got a Mini DisplayPort.

I was finally able to get a confirmation @ the Apple Store that the '09 mini's mini-DVI port indeed doesn't transmits analog video (TV) signals and thus not compatible with the mini-DVI to Video port. Disappointing, though probably doesn't affect too many people with RCA video somewhat of a dinosaur now. If it does though better grab a prev. gen mini before they are gone (not that they are going anywhere too fast).
