Just about to buy an Apple Pencil and there's info online stating that Pencil 2 was launched last year which reduces latency to 20ms. If this info is correct, can anyone advise on the model number for Pencil 1 & Pencil 2 as I don't want to end up buying the old version by mistake.

Many thanks

ok, that's great.
that means I can just go and grab one off the shelf without worrying if it's old stock.

I did a google search to see if anyone posted Serial numbers to see if there was a bad batch or something and didn't find anything. So I went to an Apple store that was the closest to a college. I figure that design students would grab them up first and there wouldn't be any older ones in stock lol

Isn’t that statement just from the updated 2017 model ipad screens? and not the pencil itself.
