So we can laugh at you?

C'mon, makes no sense. Did you really think you would get rush shipping? I'd call Apple and see if they can refund that back.

I can see if you needed an item ASAP, but shipping usually is pretty good with Apple, and often times rush shipping barely even beats out standard shipping.

iPad wasn't gonna be delivered until 4/3 anyways, so why rush shipping when it wasn't gonna happen? I saw that option when I preordered mine, and I thought to myself, someone is gonna do it.

I didn't do the rush shipping but why in hell would it even be an option if all orders are express. My opinion is Apple has some explaining to do.

They suckered you if you're dumb enough to think you're going to get it before the 3rd.

Like I said I didnt choose the extra shipping, but if all of them were going to be delivered on Sat or Mon then why try to scam an extra $12 out of someone.

I just assumed the $12 was paying for the Saturday delivery fee that UPS charges (plus a little extra) and people getting standard shipping would get it on Monday.

I'm waiting for a 3G but my order says the same thing for both the case and the iPad, "Ships by:"

I read that as the day it would be shipped not as the day it would be received.

My case still says: Ships: By April 3RD

There isn't any indication it has been shipped yet. So, I imagine it will change to shipped at the end of the week.

I doubt they were trying to scam anyone. Most likely, you can choose the shipping options on any product you buy, and they have to explicitly turn off the option. Once they realized it, they did turn it off according to what I have read.

The orders are not express. Many were shipped today and yesterday for delivery Saturday. Not exactly express.

For the suckers who paid extra for shipping, call Apple and have them ship yours on Friday so you can feel good that your express shipping didn't go to waste.

Your concern is noted. But Next Day Shipping is a feature of the Apple Store check out process. Did you think they'd turn it off for one product?

I run a couple of websites and adding different freight options to specific product is as easy as a click of a button. I personally dont care as I didnt pay the extra $12, but for a company as large as Apple to keep the option up is just stupid.

They already suckered you with the iPad. What's another little shipping charge?

Wait, wait. Back up a second. You titled your thread with "us" but yet you didn't get "suckered" by paying the $12?

Orders shipped today would be considered express if they are going to get there saturday. Any air shipments which all of these are would be considered express. That is unless they reroute them to ground shipments once inside the US.

Damn dude follow the link to Gizmodo. I copied the title from that site. That is the title of the article.

Which is why there is no reason to pay the extra. The iPad details clearly stated that it would be delivered on the 3rd.

lol, no sh*t. The question was why in hell is there an option for express shipping when they all get express anyway. Read the article.

Let me say Im not pissed at Apple as I didnt pay any extra shipping, but Gizmodo made a valid argument which is what I posted.

Where have you been? Under a rock?

For those who preordered in time, the time was apparently cut off on 3/27, presumably because preorder supplies were exhausted, or more likely that was the last date that it could be manufactured, and shipped out to be delivered on 4/3.

If you preordered after 3/27 and as currently stated on Apple's site, it won't be delivered until 4/12.
