Well after watching the keynote and reading all the posts around the internet im starting to see AT&T killed this great keynote now lets ask this question if AT&T allowed the teethering and MMS right off of bat would your opinion change on how the Confrnece was?

No. My opinion of the conference wouldn't have changed much. But AT&T did put a damper on things and clearly show why they should not be the exclusive carrier for this phone any longer.

I don't think AT&T totally killed it, but it sure makes them look bad when the Apple guys get up on stage and say, "look at these amazing things we've built into the iPhone... but AT&T users can't use them." If I were AT&T, I'd definitely be feeling the pressure.

They didn't kill it, but they definitely brought wide spread attention to and highlighted the absurdity of their company and policies. Everyone knows they are fat lumbering joke.

If ATT was 'hungry' like Sprint is right now you know they would have made damn sure MMS was for ready launch day and a plan for tethering announced at WWDC. It's not like they haven't known these things were coming for months or something (March for MMS at minimum) and they likely knew well before that. Instead, knowing they have a monopoly (for now) on the iPhone and most of us will buy the new one anyway, why rush? What's the added incentive for them? Not much... those of us upgrading will be locked into another two years.

I can't really complain about the service (and I mean the actual signal -- not customer service) which is generally very good here, but as a company I can't freaking stand them. They are right up there with Comcast for companies I'd love to see burn to the ground.

No, this like tethering and MMS were long time coming, so waiting a little longer isn't a deal breaker for me.

I guess the price if you already own an iPhone...maybe, but I think if Apple had change the look a little, I'd be more ready to fork over for a new iPhone, regardless of 299 vs 499

Canada, eh?
Yes, as I said in another thread on the subject, I suspect that Apple may be getting frustrated with ATT, and they may well have set up those slides intentionally to send a message in a passive-aggressive way. They speak volumes without saying anything at all, and then rely on the outcries from thousands of angry customers.

I was thinking the exact same thing when the slides of carriers came on sans ATT. Apple will let the public apply the pressure.

Did you hear the crowd?! ;)

I think if Apple turns AT&T's user base against them, they'll have a LOT more bargaining power.

AT&T is just one of many (probably over 100) carriers with iPhone now. Just because they're not doing the things you want doesn't mean the whole event was "spoiled".

AT&T killed the good vibe and cost Apple (and itself) millions of dollars in free publicity. Instead of hyping the good, the masses (rightly) focused on the negative.
