The process of updating my firmware initially failed for the last 2 firmwares. I've been forced to restore my phone. After the restore it says that the firmware for the iPhone is the latest one. But I have doubts that it's actually updated it.

Is there anyway I can check that it's actually updated it? Like are there specific features in 2.1 that I can check to see if it has indeed performed the upgrade correctly.

Thanks

weird, but check for the genius button in the iPod app

or check for the option to delete all content after 10 password failures.

Thanks for the suggestions!
Both options are there so I guess I'm up to date.

I had bad experiences with ghost-mac-osx updates in the past but looks like it wasn't the case with the iphone.

thanks again.

What version does the phone think it is?
