Hello - I went for a run today and during it, a bee or some bug got near my ear. I flipped out a bit and shooed it but my AirPods with flying out. The APPs. I’ve dropped them before I didn’t think it was a problem. I picked them up, they worked I thought whatevs and continued to run.

I decided to wipe them with an alcohol wipe when I got home. When I did I noted the black microphone has a tiny indent. I’m attaching a photo for you to see. Although I agree its hard to see.

I don’t notice a difference in sound or NC as yet. Have I broken them though?

I have AppleCare on them so wo

I'm guessing it's the same as someone dropping their iPhone or iPad and getting a dent where the speaker or microphone is- just cosmetic...

Since they work the same - just keep enjoying them :)

Thanks - I think you’re right. If there is something wrong, I don’t hear it!
I’m not going to waste an AppleCare incident on this. Thank you!

I don’t think thats the actual mic but only its grill. Cosmetic.
Thanks, I think you’re right. I tested the noise cancelling and it was fine. I also had a 40 min phone convo and was told it was fine so I guess no issues!
