I don't get why my disc information says that I used 120 GB out of 120, when I only installed Dropbox (not more than 3gb of stuff) and Adobe.

I have a MacBook Air (Early 2014) with Mavericks preinstalled. I had Yosemite but I wanted to format. I went to the utility panel and then I erased everything on both partitions. After that I had to reinstall Mavericks (-.-) and then downloaded Yosemite. I don't get why now it says that I used 120 GB. Maybe I should delete Mavericks, How can I do so? I don't wanna have Mavericks, since I don't use it..
Also it says I have 83k folders. How is it possible?
Thanks.
