I have purchased MobileMe codes from 3rd parties many times to renew my account with no problems whatsoever. Just do exercise caution with picking the sellers...

The same general principle as this scam applies (codes really for anything -- MobileMe, iTunes, the Apple Store, AppleCare, etc.

Besides the apparent legitimacy of the seller, I think you always have to ask, how did they get this code, and why is it that they have a code to sell you at a lower price than Apple sells them through any official channel?
