Just a quicky to see if this is actually possible...

My 2014 riMac went in for a screen replacement a month back due to black shadows on the screen.

Having been using it for a month now, I am convinced that the whites are much better on this panel and that the colours look better.

It is possible that it got an "improved" 2015 panel? Would Apple stop using the 2014 panels and just run with the 2015 ones for replacement. Just curious.
 
You could probably figure it out by messing around with the color profiles, the 2015 ones look oversaturated on sRGB. There is some variance even with panels of the same generation, so you might still have a 2014 sRGB panel instead of a 2015 P3 one.
