ok, so yesterday, i went on ebay and was just looking around and i found a 3.0 software for 5 dollars.. i asked the guy what it was and he said if i gave him my UUID, he could add it to his list of developers. so i gave it to him, he added me, sent me the link, and now im on 3.0.. but the MMS doesnt work.. everything else works fine. was it a bad idea to get the 3.0 on ebay? or does everyone's MMS not work also..

1. Yes, bad idea.
2. MMS doesn't work yet, not enabled by carriers. Some slick folks have been able to talk to their carriers and have them make changes to their accounts but it's not yet enabled for the masses.

So I'm not planning to try to get the 3.0 beta on my phone, but I am curious. If a person does have it by getting added to some developer's account, can s/he get updates to the beta as they come out without going back to the developer that furnished access in the first place?

(Its the UDID, not the UUID.)
