Did iMac just get updated?
http://www.apple.com/shop/buy-mac/imac

I'm not sure! I've maxed out on a BTO 5k iMac nearly 3 weeks ago and it has the exact same specs as Apples website is displaying in terms of GPU/CPU etc. However there is a subtle difference - the screen is now being described as "Retina 5K 5120x2880 P3 display". I'm sure it didnt say this when I bought mine. Is this what you are referring to?

Is your current machine a Retina 5K 5120x2880 P3 display?
So they seem to be labelled as "new" on the website.
in the MacRumors buyers guide it states "Days since last release - 224" https://buyersguide.macrumors.com//#iMac
It appears something has happened just recently.

One of the substantial updates to the 2015 27inch iMAC was that it displayed a wider P3 colour gamut at over 99% delivering nearly 25% more colours than the previous one which showed between 78-86.1%.

Short answer is they haven't changed the display.

Yes it is deffo a Retina 5K iMac (just checked my invoice!) but it doesn't specify what the actual screen is, it just says "27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display".

Maybe Apple have decided to elaborate a little bit more on the type of displays being used??

It's been on the site since it was introduced in 2015.

They've not been updated, the specs are the same. I'd expect to see a different GPU then what's being shown, and there's no other additions, like TB3. Obviously the CPU wouldn't be upgraded since those models are already on Skylake
