Did iOS 12 Improve Portrait Mode on the iPhone 7 Plus

I saw that iOS 12 had improvements to the depth map created by portrait mode. Does anyone know if these improvements came to the iPhone 7 Plus or were they just for the newer devices?

I remember my 7+ improving with iOS 11. The later part of iOS 11, I upgraded to the iPhone 10. Not sure about 12 for older devices.

It should since Portrait Mode came out of beta in iOS12. If it’s anything like the X, edge detection is a lot better in Stage Light modes.

I noticed it as well. Portrait mode now works wonders at night - previosuly didn’t work at all
