My G5 is dead in the water. Nothing. I have played with the plug several times. Tried holding the power button down for 30 secs. Even tried replacing the plug at the same time as holding the power button.

It was working fine until I moved all the data using a Firewire to my new computer, through Migration Assistant. I shut it down after the transfer was complete. And the next day went to turn it on and NOTHING. Any ideas, anyone.

Not much to say but sounds like you got your data off right in time
