btw- I assume the best way to tell is via Settings>General>About Carrier = AT&T 5.x vs the old 5.0.... no?

brvheart: Excuse me for being an idiot. I didn't know the difference between carrier update and iphone update. But gosh, I didn't expect people to know right away if the update had affected battery life.

But, at least thank me for starting a "humorous" thread.

The best way to tell is if it asks you to download a carrier file.
