I remember when I was on websites for music before, I would click and play a song, and it would go to full screen, like how it does when you're watching youtube videos..

but I noticed on songs from websites, before when you pressed the home button, the song would stop and it would take you back to the main home screen..

however,
Now, even after the song is playing, I press the home button, and the song continues to play in the background. even when I enter another app like app store and so on..

it does not work with youtube videos, only songs that use quicktime..(i think, because I see the "Q" before the song loads

did anyone else notice this?

I can't say if it did it before but I just tried it and it does keep playing in the background.

this website is where I've been getting my music from for a long time, and I can say 100% that it would stop the song before, now if it changed after the 3.1 update, I can't say for sure, but I just realized this in the last couple of weeks..

I think it's probably the way the phone handles background processes. The iPod app will function the same way, but (AFAIK) you can't play a video in the background with just the audio. Since Safari is a 1st party app it stands to reason that the audio can still be running in the background when you exit out of the app.
