I was in the Apple Store the other evening, checking out the new iPhone 7 models.

It appears that the Rose Gold tone has changed this year, perhaps making it a little less stark pink.

Do you guys think that's the case?

They say that Apple plays around with the tone of its traditional Gold models, from year to year.

That's correct, this year it seems to be more "rose gold" than "pink". I honestly liked 6s colour more though

I sure can't tell the difference. Need to upgrade to the wide gamut eyeballs.

I think I actually like the shade of the 7 rose gold. Had I seen more photos of it before I ordered I might have even ordered it instead of the gold.

I had a rose gold 6s Plus, and I upgraded to a rose gold 7 Plus. They were side by side in the Apple store on launch day, and they looked exactly the same to me.

I prefer this year's color. Much closer to rose gold/copper. the 6S - and especially the SE - are pink.

I had my RG 6s plus and 7 plus side by side and they were identical. Bit sorry I didn't go for a different colour this time round though.

I can't tell any difference. I think what you're seeing is a change in perspective since Apple removed the harsher antenna lines. Now there is less of a contrast there.

Yeah, based on that picture there is a difference (And I like the 6s more in that one). Could we get another picture taken from above perhaps, so the lighting is similar?

I thought the opposite, where the 7 looks more pink-ish than the 6/6S rose gold did. But maybe that's just me.

I think the 7/7+ look more copperish, a darker rose gold. The 6s which I have is a bit of a lighter/softer rose gold

Interesting.....
[doublepost=1474544906][/doublepost]I do think the Plus (on the right) looks more peach than pink (on the left). Anyone else?

That picture could be playing tricks based on the light and how it's hitting the phones.

However, if it's not - the one on the right looks more subdued, copper color. Not as pink as the one on the left.

This reminds me of the Space Gray 5s vs. 6 debate. They've lightened the Space Gray even more on the 6 but some people could not tell the difference.

The Rose Gold (which I'm not a fan of because it's too pink) does look more cooper in the aforementioned photo, but it might be nothing more than the angle.

I compared it side by side in the store. 7 seems to have a stronger golden shine only under certain angles. It feels more sophisticated. I like the new color better.

That's exactly what my observation was too, and reason for starting this thread.

The 7 version is probably the Rose Gold that I was waiting for, and what a more common Rose Gold should be.

The 6s version just seemed wayyy too pink to me.
