I ordered November 12th and I'm still waiting, I'm really regretting selling my old Macbook in preparation because my order keeps being delayed.

Nov 12? Wow, that's terrible. What configuration did you order? Curious to see which config is so delayed.

Seriously? What did you order? I ordered October 18th and got it Nov. 3rd. Have you called Apple?

I’d say check bhphotovideo and microcenter. They’ve got a number of custom configs in stock. Be sure to filter for in stock only.

It may not be the exact config you wanted. But at least either be enough for your needs or a little overkill. Rather than continuing to wait for an indeterminate amount of time.

That's definitely odd. I ordered my CTO on 12/02 and received it 12/13, I feel like it's completely unacceptable that you don't have yours by now.

The 16 inch 64g m1max I ordered on November 3 was received on December 16, but it was defective. I replaced it once and received it again on January 1

That really sucks, I am so sorry! 2 months and counting wait for a 2.5k+ laptop is really not acceptable.

I am so impatient that I would really not be a happy camper and if you work on your device then this is a cash set back that could help pay for it!

You should really press Apple or wherever you bought it from to explain what is going on and guarantee a ship date. I would also ask for some small compensation for your wait-maybe a free apple polishing cloth thrown in;)!

I would call daily from this point as in my experience the more you pester a company the faster they are.

I hope that your situation gets resolved soon!

While two months seems unacceptable, shortages can’t be completely helped. Supply can’t keep up with demand when factories that make parts are closed or running limited hours and staff for social distancing. Regardless of personal feelings or opinions, until the pandemic is controlled globally we will continue to have supply issues. It’s just impossible for closed/limited production factories to produce at normal numbers.

My wife placed an order for an iPad mini two weeks ago, expected delivery is February 12-18. There’s no way the wait would be that long at normal production levels.

For the record, the OP’s laptop could be a different issue altogether.

I'm still waiting for stock, you cannot get your hands on one anywhere, all a month wait unless you want a low spec one. I think at this point I'm just gonna wait for the next version lol...

Silver 32 core M1 Max 16 inch... nothing anywhere.

I got a 14” and 16” very easily by looking at authorized resellers; I did B&H for the 16”. I got the 14” directly from Apple.

Just have to keep looking. It only took a couple days to find both and I had them both in my hands within 24 hours.

Not here in the UK, when they do go in stock they say "3 weeks waiting"... then you order it and 3 weeks go by with no sign of anything.

I got a max 16” in UK back in December. The key is to just keep trying to do pickup and random times during the day a max version will become available to pickup. Also stores like John Lewis time to time have stock. It’s just a matter of looking regularly.

Another great option is Amazon, through their reseller Expercom, which is a Premium Partner with Apple. They have various configurations appearing on Amazon in stock, although just one or two at a time. I got a 16"/M1 Max 24C/ 64GB/2TB from them. Excellent company based in Utah. Received it in about 6 days, and was able to cancel may Apple order which was going into April.
