Did today's graphics update make my HD noisy?

I don't know much about the technical stuff when it comes to computers, so excuse me if this is a stupid question, but is it possible that the graphics update today is doing something strange with my HD? I have a new i7 with a Seagate, and up until today my Seagate has been inaudible. But, ever since the graphics update today, it wont shut up. Is this related, or just a weird coincidence?

I was worried about that. Iv'e heard alot of people complain about how loud their Seagate HD is, so I was surprised when mine was so quiet. I guess it just took a few days to get up to speed.

Not possible. The hard drive is an independent mechanical device with no connection to software. The only time it should make any noise is when data is being accessed.
