Since I got my mac (Alu 20" 2.4 Hz) a month ago the CPU fan was going full blast at 3500 rpm. Diagnostic test gave error code that (Apple support said) meant temp sensor fault was keeping fan on. I haven't got round to taking it in to get fixed.

Just installed Update 1.3 for Leopard and behold my computer is at last quiet with fan speeds at 1200 rpm.

Only problem is the internal temps which were all aprox 30 deg C before are now all sitting at aprox 50 deg C.

Is this too hot is my mac going to cook?:confused:

You can see temps a lot higher than 50c and still be well within specs. 75c isnt uncommon for some parts of the system. If you saw much more than that consistently, then you can worry.
