Come on guys more people need to do this to make it worth the readings it gives. We want to try and wrok out whether we caused enough reports for Apple to take notice and what sort of percentage gave good/bad responses.

I called and spoke to a person in their Fort Myers, FL center. About the heat issue, she first told me I would have to take it into an Apple Store and have them check to see if it were operating within specifications. She said this would be at my expense, and that because I bought it from MacConnection, Apple wasn't responsible for fixing or replacing it.

After I finished laughing, I told her that was unacceptable, but let's talk about the whine issue. She said they may be able to initiate a return for that.

Ultimately, I'm receiving a box to send in my MBP for repair.

I asked her if she had gotten similar complaints, and she said she was not allowed to answer that question. She also said her call volume was not greater than normal today.

I see. Good to see they've agreed to repair it though. They've agreed to let me take mine into an authorised reseller and have the reseller phone them up and they will tell the reseller to just swap it out for a 2GHz one with a glossy screen after a lot of hassel and telling them my MBP has been completely unacceptable the whole time I've had it and now people who buy the new ones without issues get a benefit of choosing a glossy screen and a faster chip for £30 less.! (mine's 1.83GHz with matte screen)

Hi guys,

If you called apple about your MBP's heat and whining issues...

http://www.atlantasanta.co.uk/

It won't allow multiple entries per IP but some people will nonetheless try to comprimise it if they have 2 or 3 connections butwe should get an estimate.

Thanks
