Hey guys, wanted to know if you exceeded 2gb in a month - with or without jailbreaking and tethering. Seems like most people don't, except for some who exceed the amount by a huge amount.

Maybe the 2g limit is to stop tethering illegally? I dunno, but interested to see the results - if it's just from those who tether, I'll be fine with the 2g.

Seems like no one who hasn't tethered has gotten over 2gb in 1 month

I'm sorry but I have to let some steam out.

don't even begin to act like it's OK to cap our unlimited data plans. becausse it's not

For me my usage goes up in the summer in may it was like 400 megabytes witch is not alot also I averaged the last 6 months ant it was 210 megabytes so that 2gb plan sounds good but I would rather have unlimeted.

Nope, I nor my wife come close to 2GB in a month. She's the heavy user, with youtube, facebook and such, so if she isn't, then I'm guessing many people aren't.

Based on what I have been reading 2GB is a pretty darn high threshold to hit and if you're doing that then you're doing some heavy network traffic, so then its a fair assessment to expect those folks to pay more for the excessive bandwidth they're consuming.

On my iPhone I only use about 500MB a month.

However on my iPad, I use over 2GB a day. That's mainly from Netflix watching of course—especially when roaming overseas.

Sometimes I'd install ooTunes or Pandora for a few days and use about 600-700MB but nothing more than that.

It's going to happen, limits that is, just a matter of time.

I do tether now to my ipad, although seldom and when I do it's only for safari or mail.

Before iPad came out i didn't tether and still used close to or 5GB+ per month. Mainly streaming music on commute.

Nope i've never even been close except when i didn't have internet at home, now i have wi-fi and that's been a huge help on my data consumption!!
