Hope AAPL comes up with something really great...
Not to turn this thread into a pro-Apple thing, but how come other companies have problems with their demo units, but apple never does*?
Really wish they would go android, and im sure they will outsell samsung in no time.
YouTube: video
Because all of those things in that video are major problems that mean a product can't be demoed properly, good to see they're all very recent too.
And I don't get the point of wireless charging.
Indeed, I don't like it being a Windows phone, hopefully they have plans for an Android powered Lumia in the future. I am hoping that some other Android OEM rises and edges Samsung or at least matches them in terms of popularity and sales be it HTC, Sony or Nokia (all of which have better design when it comes to hardware than Samsung).
Have you actually used WP7? Android isn't the only alternative to iOS, and (in my personal opinion) is #3 when putting them all head-to-head. I played with a Mango device, used the WP7 launcher on my Droid for a solid six months, and never wanted to go back to the Android OS after that. Windows PHone is just easier to use, more efficient and intuitive, and unique. If Verizon had any selection of WP devices, I probably wouldn't be on macrumors right now.
Switching to Android would have made Nokia "yet another Android manufacturer," where going WP8 gives them a way to stand out. On the flip-side, Nokia has the name recognition and design prowess to give WP8 the attention it needs/deserves. It's a perfect relationship.
