For some reason, I couldn't find this info online.

What carrier supplies it for service?
Is it avaliable in the US or no? If not, when will it be?

Information is immediately available upon just tying lg prada phone into google. I mean come on, if you are into phones enough to know about this phone, you absolutely know info is instantly available at tons of sites. Not mention the fact that this post has no reason on this thread, if even the forum.

Here are just the first three Google results:
http://www.lge.com/about/press_release/detail/PRO|NEWS^PRE|MENU_20328_PRE|MENU.jhtml

http://www.engadget.com/2006/12/20/first-pics-of-the-lg-ke850-based-prada-cellphone/

http://www.infoworld.com/article/07/01/18/HNiphonelikeprada_1.html

Edit: I too was confused by your question and simply thought you were asking just for info about the phone. Nevertheless, some of my original post still stands true and it is not available in the US directly, however several websites sell unlocked international phones.

hey, just to let you know, i work for a major mobile (cell) phone company in the UK in sales, and I have had a play with these things. They are O.K in that they bring something to the consumer table which hasnt been done thus far - full touch screen interface...however, its nothing spectacular, the camera is an average 2mp (we'v got the great nokia N95's in now with the 5mp) and the general menu system is very basic.

Tho i totally expect more touch screen phone to pop up soon. I think they are going to be big!

This seems a bit of a random thread, so thought I might tell you this story, as it is LG Prada -related...

So, I was in the Trafford Centre (Manc, UK) the other day with my fiance (who is only a Mac fan because I am). We go into Phones 4U, as I happened to notice a Prada through the window and fancied a look (don't need a new phone; was just interested).

I walk up to the dummy phone, pick it up and start looking at... of course, within seconds, there was a salesperson on my shoulder - very polite - "Would you like to see the real thing - the screen is amazing!" he says.

"I'm just taking a quick look thanks." I reply. "I'm waiting to see the iPhone".

The guy says, "This is way better than the iPhone: better screen, better software, plus it's here right now!" Of course, I take this at face-value; he's trying to make the sale, fair play, and I try and back away quietly.

But my fiance won't let this go... she says, "Does it have WiFi, Bluetooth and Multitouch?!" The guy replies, "What's Multitouch?". She grabs the dummy-phone, and explains in great detail what it is, with pinching, etc. (Bear in mind, she only knows this stuff because I told her about it!)

The guy says, with all seriousness now, as he knows he won't be making a sale here" "Come on, you don't believe that do you? It's just Apple marketing hype!"

I think   summed up our response.

Sorry, this story is about as random as the thread, but felt like sharing on a Sunday afternoon!

Happy Easter all.

Well, I have a LG Prada phone, and it is great.

Had it a week now - one of the first in the UK. Got it for free on a new contract with Orange. The do not sell it in Orange stores so I picked mine up from Carphone Warehouse in Watford.

I have posted about this before in the iPhone forum. And, yes, I know it is nothing like an iPhone except the style, but I have it in my hands now and that is the deal-maker. When the iPhone finally gets here I may trade up.

Happy Easter to all.

I wouldn't be seen dead with an LG phone, I think it really devalues the Prada brand. Maybe if they teamed up with Apple, Nokia or Sony... but LG?!?!

LG makes many high end appliances and electronics. I don't know where you're basing your dislike for them, but it sounds very personal.

My only experience is from using a chocolate phone for a day. The touch screen kept doing things when it was against my face and it just seemed like there were too many buttons doing the same thing.

However, I know how annoying it is when I like a brand but somebody else doesn't seem to make time for it. People are often like that about Apple. "I used a Mac once, I couldn't figure out how to turn it on, I hate it".

But really I've put LG and Lexus in the same boat. They're both reliable and they're both new. There's no history. And they both have really pants logos. I'm not a fan of LG's pink (I hate smile and T Mobile for the same reason).

I guess I'm just a brand snob who'll buy expensive Sony TVs and expensive Apple computers, but you never know...

:)
