HERES AN UPDATE

Well I ordered the computer and encountered MANY problems. The computer was FAST!!! though BUT too many issues. Its amazing I didn't last two weeks with it. Fedex is coming to pick it up for a return on Monday. I bought 2 1GB sticks of DDR2 ram so thank god the new Powerbooks can use it!!!

Moral of the story.... Once you go Mac you never go back.

The fact that the trackpad kept freezing every 8-10 seconds then you have to leave it alone for 5 seconds to get it to work again. I'm not the only one with that problem.

Powerbook 15". Probably stock and throwing in the 2GB of ram :D .

Sweeeeet.....

Hope the RAM works, that thing'll fly with 2GB of RAM.

My father has a HP, I hate the trackpad on his, it doesn't freeze but it's that rough hard plastic and I can't for the life of me figure out how to enable proper dragging. On my iBook, you click and hold, then you can drag the item anywhere before tapping to release, on the HP, it's click and hold but if you take your finger off the pad it releases - stupid. I guess the option is there somewhere I just can't find it.

It's quick though but Windows just frustrates me now. PC? Never again.

I did the same thing you did by buying a dv4000 with the ATI card gig of ram. I found that the video and LCD was "cough" nevermind:D. The Intel wireless was garbage even with updated drivers. I couldn't even play WoW, now I have a new 15" 1.6 Power Book with 1 Gig of ram, 7200 seagate and happy as can be. Oh yes, it plays wow pretty good for a 9700 ATI.
