Diet & Exercise Assistant is an app I've used for over 7 years on the Palm platform (through several versions), and I've been begging and bugging the folks at Keyoe to release an iPhone version. They told me they were working on it a year ago, and I got an e-mail today that it was released, so I bought it and here's the review I wrote after checking it out:

I used the Palm version of this app for years, and it was one of a very few I was sad to leave when I moved to the iPhone. I've been begging and bugging the folks at Keyoe for an iPhone version for a year, and I'm so happy it's finally here!

While I was waiting, I've tried several other apps, paid and free, and none of them came close to the usability, information and scope of Diet & Exercise Assistant. I'm happy to delete them all and get back to the best. (Maybe I can also get seriously back on plan, while I'm at it)

All the aspects of the app are customizable, which is crucial for most of us. Who wants a cookie-cutter app, when we're individuals? It has a large food database that's easy to add to. The graphs and graphics only add to the ease of use, and can help illustrate one's progress (or lack thereof) at a glance.

Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone looking to keep track of his or her food and fitness.

It's $9.99, and well worth it. Like it says in the review, I have tried just about every other diet tracker app in the App Store, and they all fell short of what I had grown used to with Diet & Exercise Assistant. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to keep track, lose (or gain) weight, or just have some idea of what they're doing food and exercise-wise. I've submitted a few feature suggestions already, but the app is solid and bug-free.

I'm not affiliated with Keyoe, I just like their app. :)

Quick question. Can the weight measures be changed from Stones/pounds to Kilograms/grams?

Why would you want to do that? ;)

All the exercise machines at the gym are set up for Kilograms as are the weighing scales. I wouldn't have clue how to convert either and for £5.99 don't see that I should also need an imperial to metric converter too. :)

2.2lbs = 1kg

Google. Just type in what you want to convert.

"3 feet per second to miles per hour" or something.

You can choose imperial or metric system, and back again, no problem. :) If you weigh in kg one day, you can switch it, and it'll switch your whole log, and if you go back to imperial, it'll switch it back. You don't have to do the math.
