Hi,

I am considering upgrading my C2D MBP which currently has 1GB of ram to 2GB.

I use my MBP mainly for CS2 and it is my workhorse. With ram going down in price recently I might just do the upgrade now.

Will I see a noticeable difference with 2GB of ram especially using CS2.

Thanks

I can't specifically say for CS2, but I've had 2 GB of ram in my mbp since I bought and I've never seen it slow down. It always blazes through apps like office (large excel spreadsheets mostly) and it's been outstanding. I was even looking at adding a 2 GB chip, but they aren't terribly cheap yet.

So, definitely go for it. You'll see an improvement.

You will. I always bump my machines to the full amount of RAM they can take as soon as I get them, and my 15" MBP was no exception. It boots faster, and RAM-intensive apps definitely run faster.

I wish I had bothered to run XBench on it before and after. It would be interesting to see what the benchmarks were...
