Difference between 21.5" Imac 3.06 and 3.33

Hi all

I've been looking at the 21.5" Imac's on the refub store and noticed 2 Imacs always come up for sale.

One is about £100 more and has the 3.3GHZ CPU but both the 3.03 and 3.33 have the same L2 cache from what I can see.

So is it worth the extra ?

The Imac is about £1184 and has the ATI video card, 1TB HDD and 4GB Ram.
I know the new Imac is due anytime but is it worth buying this cheaper Imac from the refub now

As TMraven said, there is a thread about this which is very fresh. Unless you do video encoding or other CPU intensive stuff hour after hour, you won't be seeing much difference

That is a mistake on Apples part. The 3.33 has 6MB of L2.

I own both the 3.06 and the 3.33 and you do notice a difference in day to day use in certain tasks. Not much. Is it worth it. I think so for 150.00. Not for the retail 200.00 though. The 3.33 is a good bit faster.

Funny thing is that I asked someone at Apple about that when I bought my 3.33 refurb in Jan. They said that it was a misprint, but no one has bothered to correct it yet. I guess that they're not that worried about pushing the 3.33 model out the door.

With the faster processor and cache, the 3.33 has shown itself to be quicker with many apps and games (with the Radeon model even beating the i5 in many applications that still don't take full advantage of the i5), so, for the minor increase in price over the retail 3.06, it may be worth it.
