Hey all,
I'm currently using a last-gen 1.33ghz 12" iBook with 1.5gb of RAM. I've used similarly equipped PowerBooks before, and I'm noticing that this iBook just feels a little slower overall then those have.
Do you think if I upgraded the hard drive to a 7200rpm drive, it would improve the speed? By speed I'm talking about how quickly programs launc (when I'm multitasking), and opening menus, new tabs, etc.
I'm also thinking it may be the FSB (which is at 133mhz), but since I can't upgrade that I don't know what else to do. Also, my 1ghz PowerBook 12" felt a bit faster -- I'm pretty sure that had a 5400rpm drive.
Anybody have real world experience with these two drives?
