Under Mojave I had to give some apps Full Disk Access so they could work (specifically Carbon Copy Cloner and iTrash). I notice after upgrading to Catalina they have been duplicated into the Files and Folders Security & Privacy settings pane.

Has the File and Folders pane effectively replaced Full Disk Access? Should I remove their permissions under Full Disk Access?

full disk access: full disk access, everything.

files and folder: only desktop or documents or download or external disks.

I would just leave it as it is now.

Thanks.

Just so I'm 100% clear. Files and Folders only gives access to the folders Desktop, Documents and Downloads? Apple should include some text saying with that explanation. In that case I would definitely need to leave as is.
