difference between Macbook Pro CD and C2D

how can i tell the difference very quickly...my sisters friend has a 17" macbook pro for sale but he doesnt even know if its Core Duo or Core 2 Duo and im trying to explain to them thru the phone how to tell me which it is!

Go to the apple icon in the upper left corner, and choose about this mac.

Macbook Pro CD has a little black dot next to the iSight camera.
Macbook Pro C2D does not have a little black dot next to the iSight camera.

system profiler in Applications-->Utilities, I believe. Sorry, no mac currently, or I'd check for you.

ask how long ago it was bought, because if it was bought before oct 30, there is no way that it is a new one..
