Hello people,
Is there anybody out there that can tell me how to recognise the two models Apple made of the Cinema Display 30"? I would like to find a new version, but I don't know where to look. Can it be found on the sticker by just looking at the date? Can it be so simple?

Please help. Appreciated.

Greetings,
Geit

I'm quoting a macrumors.com user grue:

"Apple's serial number format for CPUs, displays, iPods, and networking hardware:

XXYZZblahblahblah

XX is site code

Y is year (e.g., 7 is 2007)

ZZ is week of said year.

blahblahblah is model, options, etc."

This will give you an idea when your model was manufactured.. For ex., my ACD 30" starts with CY6: CY= Korea, 6= 2006.
