Differences between 1.6 / SSD and 1.8 / SSD

In real world usage, is there really any difference in the Processor Speed on the MBAir. Throughout the years, the speed differences being apart .2 GHz were negligable.

Anyone here have a 1.6 with the SSD notice any crippling/adverse effects to there everyday computing.

I am looking at ordering the MB Air this week, but purchasing the MB Air with the 1.6 GHz and SSD make it easier to justify by saving costs on the processor upgrade.

If you're worried about saving some $'s, get the 1.6 / 80. SSD prices are dropping and it's a snap to replace the HDD - when the SSDs get much cheaper. You may be kicking yourself in the arse for spending all that money in a few months.

Back to original question, the 1.6 and 1.8 have very little real world speed differences.

The storage aspect is not an issue since I store all my files now on the NAS Drive attached to the Time Capsule.

I figured the $200 ~ $300 savings on the processor would offset the SSD cost. Why spend it if there is no reason to do so in terms of overall computing experience.

At the end of the day, if it is recommended to go with a 1.8 and SSD, that is the route I will take. Please keep in mind when responding that overall cost will not be an issue since this will be a work computer, I just want to make sure that I am making the best educated buy.
