Can you guys tell me if you see or experience any major differences between the 13" MB screen and the 15" MBP screen as I am currently debating which notebook to purchase.
Thanks

Aside from the obvious size differences, the MBP has the option of glossy or matte finishes, opposed to the MBs glossy only. The MBP also has the upperhand on resolution and that's about as different as the screens get.

pointing out the obvious, the 15" is a bigger screen. And you get the choice of Matte or Glossy Screen on the MBP. Depends what your going to be using it for? and if you need/want a big screen? Or if you want matte or gloss? its all a matter of personal preference. IMO, i've got a 13", because i wanted portability. I don't do anything special with my MB, so i dont need a huge screen.

EDIT: someone beat me too it :(

Another factor to consider is that the MB's screen is generally more evenly lit than the MBP's. This may change with the upcoming rumored LED screens in the MBP.

Macbook Pro, without a doubt. People say, "Oh but the Macbook is far more portable" and whatnot but I really don't notice a big difference. In my opinion anyway, the differences are so negligible. The pros of the MBP outweigh the size of the MB. But then of course you have to consider price.

I'm still transferring data from my Powerbook to the Macbook and i'm sort of disappointed whenever I go back to it and see the difference in screen real estate. This is a 3 year old Powerbook, so the screen is very very dull compared to the MB!

Either way, you're still going to get a fantastic notebook. You should call into your local store or whatever and compare the screens with the apps you use most often etc.

NYC, or thereabouts
Glossy screen = useless piece of fake bling that is always smudged, dusty.

Matte screen = the low-glare, low-maintenance tool that you know and love.

JMHO as a MacBook user/Glossy screen sufferer.

More portable? I really can't believe that. Try to imagine a situation where you'd say, "Gee whiz, I bought a 15" -- if it were only 13" I would bring it with me." Call me skeptical, but I don't see it happening.
