What are the differences of the macbook pro (low end model) and the black macbook! What is better? I'm just wondering. What will give you better performance? Thanks

read the specs on each and find out?
and the performance difference depends on what you plan on doing with it.

better has no value here since its unknown what your plan to use it for. what's better for one person does not mean that its true across the board.

unless you're using 3D apps performance will be nearl the same

I try to buy a new comp every 3 years since intermediate school last decade, I always get the higher end comp of the time since it will be most compatible 3 years down the road. The graphics card and limited 2 gb ram in the macbook is the sole reason why I would buy one for my fiancé since she just wants a mac since I'll be using my g4 til new mbps come out by the spring at school everyday.

2gb ram I don't consider enough to run true 64-bit anything let alone whatever new software may come out just within the next 12 months. I'd be on the mac pro if it didnt cost me 5k to get it the way I'd be happy with it lol but that's just me

If you want to play games or anything of that nature get the Macbook pro it has a Nvidia 8600m in it that is way better then the integrated graphics on the Macbooks.

I'll think I'm going to stay with the first decision which was to get the black macbook. After all I'm only 16 I'm not gonna use it for business or anything! Just i'll get 2GB of ram!

music, video editing, web browsing! Photoshop! Stuff like that but I can't get the pro my parents don't want me spending that much! I think I just upgrade my ram! Or just wait until it comes then install more RAM!

Yeah I would go with the macbook pro try to convince your parents. Are you going to do serious video editing or just iMovie stuff, if you plan to use Final Cut Studio 2 you have to use a Macbook Pro because it wont work on a Macbook. (It requires a separate Graphics Card, the integrated is too weak for it). But if you are just doing iMovie or Final Cut Express the Macbook should be all you need.
