Hey everyone,

I got my new 14 Pro Max yesterday and all seems to have went well with the restore process, it's just that I'm noticing a 45 GB difference in the amount of storage on my new phone.

I made sure to back up my old one. Went through the restore process on the new one and seems like everything is there.

- Apps are the same (to the count)
- Photo's appear to all be there as well (I opted for "Download and keep originals")

When I go to Settings > General > About - I have the same amount of Videos, Photos, Applications on both phones the only difference is the available size. (Screenshots attached)

Also when I go to Settings > AppleID > iCloud > iCloud Backup - there's a pretty huge difference from my new phone to the older one. The new one only has 5.4GB backed up (just updated a few min ago to make sure) and the old one there is 32.3GB total that's back up. (Screenshots attached).

I guess I just don't understand the difference and why? My only concern is that once I turn off "Find My" on the older phone and wipe it (to send it back to apple for their "Trade In" program) that I might have missed something obvious and at that point I'll be SOL.

Has anyone experienced this before or knows why this is the case if all seems to be restored correctly on my phone?

Cheers,

Dan
