My wife and I have identical 2020 iPad Pros. She was complaining about slow downloads so I ran a Speedtest on mine and got 400+ mbps. Tried hers and only got about 150-170 mbps. Checked all the wifi settings and both were set the same. No VPN running but I turned it on to see what happens and her speed dropped about 10%. Did a power off/on and speeds stayed the same with no apps started. Took hers out of her case and speeds were the same. Both connected to the same Eero. I’m at a loss as to what could cause the discrepancy in speeds, especially when it’s 2x or more. Any ideas?

Probably the router prioritizing your iPad over hers. Could be a variety of reasons. Repeat the test on different days and see if the same behaviour happens. Double check your prioritized and QoS settings.

Any testing is out for the week as we're on the road. Router is an Eero so no QoS settings I can control.

Since we’re using cellular while traveling I may try the speed tests on Verizon and see if there’s a difference there. It might indicate that she has some app interfering with throughput.
