This isn't really an issue, but I'm just curious if someone can answer this.

When I was at Roskilde Festival last week, I noticed the map data is different in the Maps app compared to embedded maps in Find My Friends or Find My iPhone (see attachments).

If you want to check it out yourself, search for Roskilde in Denmark and look just south of the city.

Apple has always used Google Maps in Find.....

I thought that too, but maps.google.com doesn't show the same data as either one of the apps.

People are saying now that Apple Maps data is starting to show up in the beta versions of Find my Friends/Find my Device. Also showing on beta.icloud.com for Find my iPhone. However, I checked this morning and it still says it's Google maps data. Makes me wonder if Apple will release a web-based maps app for icloud.com. Would be nice.
