different transcoded files from FCP to ipad

hi
i am using final cut pro for video editing
and i got all my video files in quick time files but in different codecs ,
i can not transfer theme to my ipad , every time i try to do it i get an error that file is not supported .
what the best way to do it on the best quality possible ????
