Difficult to find mac alternatives to some programs.

There is two programs I rely on Windows.

Faststone Image Viewer. I found XnView but its not the same.
MusicBee. I can't find anything similar. The music app that is build in when I go and import my music it just decides to upload it to iCloud making a mess of my Apple Music albums.

You can run FastStone Image Viewer via Wine on a Mac.

Windows 10 really runs very well on my new Mini, am using some expensive legacy software, it's much faster than it ever was on my real PC and have not had a single crash or issue in four months of heavy use. Parallels has a free trial, check it out.

Tell us which version of the OS you're using. That's important.

What is Fastone?
Is it strictly "an image viewer/browser"?

Have you tried something called "Lyn"?

You might also try "Phocus". This is Hasselblad software, but I think you can download it by just giving them your email.

My image browser/editor of choice is the old "Picasa" app (from google). It's no longer supported, but still works just fine on Macs running Mojave and earlier. It's one of the primary reasons this 2018 Mini will never be upgraded beyond Mojave.

Is it just a "music player"?

A bit off-topic, but I also run Mountain Lion and Sierra virtual machines with Parallels so I can continue using thousands of dollars worth of legacy Mac software on Catalina. Also works perfectly. This thread is enough to scare me away from Mojave on the 2018 Mini.

MusicBee is strictly an music program. I found something similar it does not run great but is free called QuodLibet. As for images I found something called qView that lets me view images next to each other, to be able to zoom in and out. I also settled on XnViewMP.

All I know coming from Windows the available free software on macos is laughable. Windows has tons of free open source software but most everything on macos is free trials then $20 or more or even worse subscription based.
