Obviously you're not a golfer.
i need to catalog, tag, and organize a ton of digital assets, especially photos, for my studio. i was going to go with iView Media Pro for each of us (10 people) but now that Microsoft bought them i am not so sure.

any ideas? i would love to get something open-source if its available but i am willing to pay for a good product. the hardware is not in place yet but i imagine we would store all the files for the studio off of a few drives on our server. we are looking less for "power" and more for "organization."

Try looking Apple's Aperture or Adobe's Lightroom (still only a beta version at the moment though.)

Extensis Portfolio is another option.

Personally I use iView Media and get on with it well, but I am just a single user. I think Portfolio has server options available for larger companies

more than we need as i am looking only for cataloging, organization and tagging; not RAW conversion, etc..
