I posted about a week ago under peripherals thinking my ACD had gone bad, but it seems as though the problem is my powerbook. My 20" ACD (clear case) has a pink and blue tint to it when hooked up to my powerbook. For instance, the address bar in Safari should be aqua, but it's more pink than anything. Also, pictures are saturated looking and very unclear. I hooked up a CRT to my powerbook and it looked fine. I've hooked up my ACD to a MBP and it looked fine. The discoloration does not show up in screenshots. My PB's LCD is fine. That leaves the mini-DVI adaptor or something with my PB involving only the digital output, even though it's the same mini-DVI hub as is used with VGA. I'm not familiar with the inside of the PB, so I'm not sure how possible that is. I've tried to capture a picture of the screen with my camera, since screenshots look normal.

Any knowledge and/or suggestions is appreciated. I'd really like to figure this out so I can have the problem fixed...it's driving me crazy.

I went to an Apple retailer and tried a different ACD and a different mini-DVI adaptor with the same result. He said it had to be my logic board, and I suppose that's all it could be. I still find it odd that analog displays work fine. It's definitely not worth $800 to fix this, so now I just have consider my other options.:(

My display has suddenly gone back to normal after several weeks of having the issue I posted above. I left this morning with my powerbook running and came back several hours later to a normal picture. I'm hoping it stays this way, but I'd like to figure out what is happening so if this gives anyone a clue, please let me know.
