Will Apple offer a X9000 2.8Ghz Penryn MBP at MacWorld 2008, or variant with user controled overclocking capability....nah.

45w TDP, same as a C2Xtreme, but with 4 cores and 1066Mhz FSB. Would Apple offer such a system in 2008?

Time to start the official 'waiting for Penryn MBP' thread? Around the net, different sites reporting Monteviña will be released in 1s half/Spring 2008, less than a year after Santa Rosa...possible? or even likely?

Couple weeks ago I bought a second hand Macbook Pro 2.0 Ghz Intel Core Duo (Yonah) and I have been thought about its forecast. The only reason I bought this one because the budget availability. Beforehand, I was expecting to buy the latest Macbook Pro 2.2 Ghz SR which I didn't manage to buy it.

Now, I am very happy to own this first Core Duo generation considering the usability. I am more than happy doing my freelance projects using Adobe Design Premium CS3 and what more can I say that I will keep this baby beast until 2011 where Macbook Pro would utilizing a Core Quad processors (Montevino, Neham ,anyone?), Blu ray drive, LED display, 16 GB RAM, up to 500 GB internal HDD.

I don't think digitimes has any source for this other than that is when intel is shipping those chips so they are making an educated guess that they will be in the MBPs then.
