Picked up a Rev. B MBA Sunday...the keyboard, compared to my uni MBP, is only maybe 2/3 or at the very most 3/4 the brightness of that on my uni MBP when both are at full brightness.

For anyone who has both, is this normal for the MBA backlighting to be weaker than that of the uni MBP?

it still functions fine and illuminates the keys well enough for the dark but I am just curious.

Haven't compared, but it probably has to do with battery drain, the less the better battery time

true but you would think they would give you the option to crank the brightness, since you can always turn it down to save battery.

Try installing Lab Tick. I have a rev a Air, and found the auto-adjusting feature to be a bit wonky. Lab tick solved my issues, and brightened up more than it did on its own. Don't have a Pro, so I can't speak to the comparative brightnesses.

Lab Tick is installed on both machines, and the pics were taken at maximum brightness for both.
