This bug is not present in iOS 11. Since iOS 12 some pages show difficulty to interact with movable elements. For example in http://www.chessblunders.org/training is almost imposible to drag and drop chess pieces. The bug is present in many sites where drag and drop posibility is allowed. Instead of dragging the element Safari tries to move the entire site.

I have reinstalled iOS 12 and the bug is still present.

EDIT: The bug is present in iOS 11 as well. Not in iOS 9 as far as I can attest.

I’m able to move the pieces but the site moves a bit with it making it tricky but not impossible. Is that what you’re seeing or are you not able to move the pieces at all?

I can move pieces but the site move at the same time. It is almost imposible to move a piece more than 3-4 squares.

Knowing very little about this personally I would give Apple the benefit of doubt here and say they’ve made Safari adhere to stricter touch standards. Websites with draggable elements that aren’t working now might need to mark up those elements correctly?

What are some other examples you found by the way?

The examples here work for me:

http://interactjs.io/
http://touchpunch.furf.com/
https://googlesamples.github.io/web...s/design-and-ux/input/touch/touch-demo-2.html

No harm reporting this though

I’m running lates IOS 11 and I’m seeing same issue there although you said it worked for you on that version.

You are right. I was wrong. It works in my son’s iPhone 5s running iOS 9.3.5. iOS 11 has the same issue.

If you need a 2-3 year old browser to use a website, it’s probably the website that’s the problem.
