DaVinci Resolve requires Rosetta, for Apple Silicon Macs.
Can I have the direct download link of the .pkg? avoiding terminal to update or install?

It must only be certain tools that require this.
I have just opened Resolve 18 (from the App Store) without checking ‘use Rosetta’.

Your Mac should have Rosetta by default.

Your Mac should have Rosetta by default.

No, it shouldn’t, it’s not preinstalled. Rosetta 2 is installed only when an app that needs it is started.

Rosetta packages are not in the regular software update catalogs. They are listed in a separate one

There really isn't anything to "learn" here. Rosetta 2 is just a package; once it installs your system will be able to run Intel code pretty much forever. Rosetta 2 updates with each OS upgrade and it's pretty much "install and forget".

The only time you need to use the pkg file is if you want to install it on a fleet of machines using MDM and don't want to have to do it on each system manually.
