According to https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=190210&p=989865#p989865It must only be certain tools that require this.
I have just opened Resolve 18 (from the App Store) without checking ‘use Rosetta’.
No, it shouldn’t, it’s not preinstalled. Rosetta 2 is installed only when an app that needs it is started.Your Mac should have Rosetta by default.
Hello,
DaVinci Resolve requires Rosetta, for Apple Silicon Macs.
Can I have the direct download link of the .pkg? avoiding terminal to update or install?
Thanks

There really isn't anything to "learn" here. Rosetta 2 is just a package; once it installs your system will be able to run Intel code pretty much forever. Rosetta 2 updates with each OS upgrade and it's pretty much "install and forget".Yup but I want to learn more not just click a button...

The only time you need to use the pkg file is if you want to install it on a fleet of machines using MDM and don't want to have to do it on each system manually.
