The direct link is in the upper right hand corner of the web page of your album when viewed with safari. Just cut and paste this and send it to whomever you wish. It works. I tested it.

It looks like Mobile Me resizes the images...?

Anyway, I was asking this because I wanted to use Mobile Me almost like my own photobucket service so I can upload pictures but still keep them private. Guess there is no way to do that because my galleries are on display for everyone if I link them to just one of my photos.

Do you have a Mac and use iPhoto? You can set passwords to galleries when you upload them from iPhoto ('08), not sure if you can without iPhoto -- I haven't tried since I use it with iPhoto. You can't do it for individual photos, but you could have galleries with only one photo. You can then add photos to an album if you want to share more photos with same person, and it automatically syncs the new photos. Or, once you've created a user name "angemon" for one gallery with a password, and want to share more galleries with the same person/group, you make a new gallery accessible to "angemon" (using the same password). iPhoto shows you the address for the link (or you can go to the gallery yourself, at me.com, obviously).

Yes I have a Mac. Thanks but no thanks. It just seems like way too much trouble. I just want to be able to share photos with random people whenever, wherever without them having to put in passwords, but still keeping my photos relatively private. Guess I'll just stick with photobucket.

How are they kept private without a password? Or is your issue that with MobileMe all the galleries are visible, but don't mind random access to photos if someone comes across them?

Yep, exactly.

If I link someone to an image, I don't want them to have access to my entire gallery.

Is it possible?

I can link to images stored in my public folder easily by using this url
http://idisk.mac.com/username-Public/pic.jpg

But I want to be able to link to private images in my pictures folder.
angemon89, do you mean the Pictures folder that is in the root directory?
