Since upgrading to iOS 10 I can't seem to use maps to just read the directions from place to place. Instead Maps only gives the option of pressing "Go" and starting a turn by turn GPS process. Any guidance for getting to a screen to read directions off of would be appreciated. Thanks!

What do you mean by reading directions? Was there an option for that before (that is different than navigation)?

This was frustrating for me at first. Its still there; it's just not as obvious. Instead of pressing GO, just press any of the area to the left of GO (where time and distance are), and it will put the path on the map and display the directions without starting navigation.

Oh, somehow I missed that his was about simply being able to see step by step directions. Yeah, that's the way to do it. It's how it works with Google Maps as well.

Thanks for the help. This seems so much less convenient than it was before. If there are multiple routes you can take you have to press GO just to get it to let you scroll through the directions. Then the steps come up in a giant font....not something you expect from Apple....

You don't have to press Go you just tap on the area next to it to see the list of directions. If there are multiple routes you can switch between different ones right on the map that is above that before going to see directions.
