Maybe I posted the wrong link but I used the beta 9 file and my 4s now runs the directv app without error.

That is the version for iPad app.
Still waiting for xCon for iPhone app

Ya that is what I was basically asking, if Xcon had an update released yet

Thanks for the post but i'm really leary about messing with that sort of stuff via ifile...I was just hoping/waiting for a cydia package to fix the app.

i'm guessing Xcon has yet to release an update for the tweak for the new Iphone app, but I was wondering anyway.

I have two different ones in Cydia which is the newest latest and greatest

Xcon?
or
Xcon Alias?

Xcon Alias is an addon, it mod the apps that require Xcon in to thinking that they are all up to date, so they don't show up in itunes as updates.

You can hit update all in itunes without risking upgrading a patched app.

I have xCon installed to bypass previous version. Today opened up Cydia and there was an update available. Ran it, opened up Directv app. It now works!

essentially you can do the same thing by deleting the metadata right for the app?

i see they just released 2.3.0 recently, does it still work with the newest xcon or should I hold off?

Also not really sure with the description what it adds, so you can basically just use what was only wifi only before now you can watch tv anywhere?

anyone have the update that can answer this?
