Puchased Dirt 2 from Feral online for £ 30! :)

6 GB download, got my key and started rallying!

I played it (albeit shortly) on the my Mac Pro '08:
- 8 x 2.8 GHz
- 8 GB RAM
- Radeon 4870
- Mac OS X 10.7.1
with Logitech Momo Racing Wheel.

All settings highest @ 1920 x 1200 rez. Looks superb!!
Force feedback and all the fun is there!

Way to go, Feral!
Hope to see it on the MAS soon as well. Surely Feral could use the MAS exposure!

not supported on the nvidia 9400

It will run (try the demo when it gets released next week) however some of the sections not smooth on the 9400M so we could not officially support it. If you don't mind the odd low fps on a few sections of the later tracks you should be fine but the card and drivers don't quite have enough power to make the fully supported list.

Oh and 4GB of RAM makes a huge difference to the performance on shared RAM cards so if you want to try it out 4GB of RAM helps a lot.

hmm... Dirt2+momo wheel=mismatch?

Hi there,
i'm running OS 10.6.8 and i can't get my logitech Momo Force feedback wheel to work in Dirt 2  . It has never been pluged into this mac but all-over on the net i read that it should work... sadly it doesn't.

Does anybody have an idea?
All help is welcome!

Go to customise controls, press the control you want to customise when it asks you to press the button/key you want to map it to press or move the control on the Momo and it will map to that. Once you have setup all the buttons you are good to go.

The game does not map wheels automatically you need to do it yourself.

Dirt on the Mac it great i have been playing it with my PS3 controller greatest thing ever and no drivers needed to use it keep them coming Dirt 3 on here would be great and 30 bucks is a good price for them better then the 60 for the PS3

Good to hear! Yeah I would love to see some of the DiRT series on the MAS. Were you using bootcamp, W7 64 bit?

Hello

Sorry to sound stupid but unless people are in the know which I am not what the hell is MAS and abbreviation for ?

I HATE abbreviations :(

Hello

I assumed it was so why not just put that ?

Because abbreviations make things faster... do you write United States of America or USA? Of course USA is a more well-known abbreviation, but this is macrumors remember - we figure everyone knows abbreviations like OS, CPU, MBP, GPU, SL etc are! :D

I'm having trouble getting my mono to work with Dirt 2... . I'm doing the mapping thing, but I've run into a problem: I can't get inverted X-axis for steering left and x-axis for steering right at the same time. When I do one, the other becomes unassigned. And I've tried just using only one being assigned, but it doesn't work - kinda need to be able to steer left and right.

Can anyone help with this?

Make sure you have the wheel dead centre before you start with the assigning. It should then let you assign negative X to left and positive X for right turns. Our support guys should be able to offer more detailed advice.
